About every 4 months or so I get a little stir crazy and need to go somewhere, but not just anywhere… I need to get out of the country. It’s not that I don’t love the USA, I heart it… a lot, but I just love being in a different culture, meeting different people, being surrounded by a different language. I get a high from being out of my element and having to learn in order to survive.
My poor husband, I keep trying to drag him across the world… attempting to convince him that we should live in Morocco, Turkey, or [insert any other crazy location HERE] for a few years. 🙂
I’m really working hard on trying to be content wherever the Lord places me and the hubs. It’s definitely a struggle, but I’m spending a lot of time praying through it and reminding myself that God is sovereign. One Scripture passage that I keep returning to is Isaiah 46:9-13. Such a good reminder that God is in control of ALL things and His plan of redemption will be accomplished regardless of my location.
Remember the former things of old; for I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like me, declaring the end from the beginning and from ancient times things not yet done, saying, ‘My counsel shall stand, and I will accomplish all my purpose,’ calling a bird of prey from the east, the man of my counsel from a far country. I have spoken, and I will bring it to pass; I have purposed, and I will do it. Listen to me, you stubborn of heart, you who are far from righteousness: I bring near my righteousness; it is not far off, and my salvation will not delay;I will put salvation in Zion, for Israel my glory.
Anyways, I was going through a few of my old photos from different trips and thought I’d share some with you!
